Here are some examples of Lizano recipes as well as recipes that do no use Lizano but are typical Costa Rican dishes:
Olla de Carne (Costa Rican Beef Soup)

Ingredients

1 lbs Beef Stew
1.12 lbs yuca (cassava)
1 lbs of peeled potatoes
425 grms camote (yams)
2 green plantains (each cut in three and unpeeled)
2 corns on the cob (each cut in three)
1/2 gallon of water
1/2 onion (diced)
1 lbs Carrot (cut into 1 inch chuncks)
1/2 red pepper
5 Garlic cloves thinly sliced
2 tsp tomillo (thyme)
Salt to taste

Preparation:
In a pot, add water, beef, tomillo, garlic, red pepper, and onion and
cook for 15 mins at high heat.  Then cook for another 30 mins
at medium heat.
Add yuca, camote (yams), potatoes, green plantains (unpeeled), corn, carrots.  Cook for 10 mins at high heat and for 20 mins at medium
heat.  Add salt to taste.  Let eat for 10 mins.

Gallo Pinto (rice and beans Costa Rican style)

Ingredients:

1 Cup Cooked Rice
2 tsp salt
4 tbsp olive oil
1 Cup Black Beans
1/2 Onion (diced)
1/3 Red Pepper (diced)
1/2 tbsp tomillo
1/2 tbsp Ground Pepper
3 tbsp Lizano

Preparation:
In a frying pan mix oil, diced onions and diced red peppers for 1 mins at high  heat.  Add ground  pepper, salt, comino and Lizano.  Add cooked rice and beans, mix all together and cook at low temp for 3 mins.


Arroz con pollo (rice and chicken Costa Rican Style):

Ingredients:

2 Cups Cooked Rice
2.5 lbs Cooked Chicken Breasts
1 Onion (diced)
1 tbsp Celery (diced)
4 tbsp olive oil
4 Maggi Bouillon Chicken Cubes
5 Cups of Water
1 red pepper (diced)
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tbsp parsley (diced)
1/2 tsp achiote (annato)

Preparation:
In a frying pan cook onion with 2 tbsp olive oil for 2 mins at medium heat.  Shred chicken and poor into pan.  Add garlic, 1 cup of water, salt, achiote and Maggi cubes.  Mix well.   Stir for 1 minute.  Add 2 tbsp of olive oil and cooked rice, red pepper, parsely, celery and 4 cups of water.  Stir well.  Cook at high heat for 10 mins.  Lower heat level to low for 10 mins.  Let sit for 5 mins.

Arroz con leche

Ingredients:

2 Cups Cooked rice
1/4 litre of milk
1/4 bar of butter
1 cup of sugar
3 oz of raisins
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp vanilla
5 oz Evaporated milk
14 oz Condensed milk

Preparation:
In a pot add mix rice, milk, sugar, evaporated milk, cinnamon, vanilla and butter. Cook at medium heat for 15 mins.  Add raisins and stir.  Cook at high heat until boiling.  Put in freezer for 10 mins.
